Are overthinking, perfectionism, or past challenges keeping you from thriving?

As a Registered Provisional Psychologist, I believe that therapy is a space to be seen, understood, and supported for who you are, and your unique story deserves to be heard and honoured. I specialize in providing culturally-responsive and collaborative support for young professionals and individuals navigating anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem, disordered eating, and trauma. For those from the BIPOC, 2SLGBTQ+, and neurodivergent communities, I offer a space that moves past a "one-size-fits-all" approach, acknowledging your intersecting identities as a core strength. I also speak English, conversational Mandarin, and conversational Cantonese to offer a language bridge where it matters most.

About

My Story

I was born in Canada to immigrant parents—my mother from China and my father from Hong Kong. Growing up in a household with two different Chinese cultures and languages, while also learning to navigate Canadian culture outside the home, brought both challenges and strengths. These experiences shaped my self-awareness and empathy, helping me appreciate that everyone comes from a unique background, with their own stories and family dynamics. From an early age, friends would often turn to me for emotional support, sharing that they felt safe and heard in my presence.

In early adulthood, I began my own mental health journey. Coming from a family where mental health was rarely spoken about, seeking an assessment and being diagnosed with ADHD and social anxiety was both validating and transformative. It allowed me to better understand myself and begin healing years of shame tied to feeling “different.” Starting therapy during this time gave me clarity, healthier coping strategies, and a renewed sense of hope. Experiencing the profound impact of therapy firsthand inspired me to pursue a Master’s in Counselling Psychology so I could support others in the same way.

I first worked as a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario, but realized I wanted to expand the care I could offer my clients. This led me to take the steps to become a Registered Provisional Psychologist in Alberta, which allows me to further support individuals in meaningful and comprehensive ways.

Outside of my work, I find balance through cooking, travelling, exploring new foods, listening to and playing music, spending time with my dog Luffy, connecting with friends, and playing video games. I believe that nurturing different areas of life is essential to wellness, and I strive to bring that same value of balance into the work I do with clients.

Approach

Working Together

Compassion, honesty, trust, and respect are at the core of my work. I believe every moment, whether in or outside of therapy, offers an opportunity for growth and healing. My approach is deeply collaborative, grounded in the belief that clients are the experts of their own lives. I see therapy as a partnership where we learn and grow together, with my role being to provide guidance, support, and tools that align with your values, lived experiences, and goals.

I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches in a client-centred way, tailoring each session to what feels most meaningful and effective for you. Some of the main approaches I integrate include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic perspectives, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness-based practices.

My hope is that therapy with me feels warm, safe, and inviting—a space where you feel comfortable opening up and exploring what matters most. Whether your goals involve feeling heard and understood, gaining clarity, or developing healthier coping strategies, I strive to work alongside you as a team so you can move toward meaningful change and personal growth.

I offer therapy in English, conversational Mandarin, and conversational Cantonese.
