I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist with training and experience in psychological assessment and psychotherapy. I currently provide therapy to adults and couples.
I am a culturally-informed, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive psychologist. I provide collaborative, compassionate therapy aimed at empowering the client. Through my work as a psychologist, I often illustrate therapy as a “tangled ball of yarn,” where clients come in with complex, interwoven emotions, thoughts, and life experiences. Oftentimes, clients are seeking help because they are trying to pull on one thread, such as by forcing a solution, which tightens all the other knots, making it even messier. Therapy can be helpful by collaboratively untangling the yarn, teaching you the tools and skills needed to cope with life’s challenges, so you can build a richer life tapestry that is meaningful to you.

As an individual possessing multiple intersectional identities (East Asian woman with disabilities), I am proud to call myself Hong Kong-Canadian. Growing up and straddling the line between both identities, but never really feeling like I fit into either, my lived experience allows me to empathize with clients and receive their unique stories with curiosity and compassion. My personal experiences have taught me the importance of supportive relationships and the power of resilience and hope that drew me to the field of psychology.
After completing my undergraduate studies in Psychology (2019) at the University of Calgary, I pursued a PhD in Clinical Psychology (2025) at Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS. I completed my CPA-accredited pre-doctoral residency with the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), focusing on assessment and treatment in community-based and rehabilitation centre settings, working with diverse clients experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, and adjustment to disability and significant chronic health conditions (e.g., traumatic brain injury, chronic pain). I have over 6 years of combined training and experience treating a broad range of mental health, physical health, and associated concerns (e.g., identity, interpersonal).
In my spare time, I actively engage in self-care activities such as spending time with my friends and family, hiking, painting, and travelling.
My approach to therapy is client-centred, collaborative, and culturally-responsive to meet client needs. As a culturally-informed, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive psychologist, I tailor my clinical approach to working with people from underrepresented groups, including disabled and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and people of colour) populations, while promoting an inclusive space for all. I aim to learn and grow with my clients, while thoughtfully appreciating their intersectional identities and contextual needs. I hope my clients walk away with the feeling that I see them as who they are: resilient human beings. I am also conversationally fluent in Cantonese and can offer a language bridge when helpful.
I draw from evidence-based principles including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). For couples therapy, I utilize Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT-C) and the Gottman Method.
I offer therapy in English and Cantonese.
