My Story

I immigrated to Canada as a child and grew up in Quebec, a vibrant French-speaking province. Being of Persian and Arab heritage, I was raised in a multicultural, multilingual household where compassion, resilience, and connection were central to daily life. These early influences shaped not only who I am, but also how I walk alongside others in their healing journeys.

I am fluent in English, French, Arabic, and Farsi, and offer counselling in all four languages. This allows me to bridge communication gaps and honour the cultural context of each client’s story—something I consider foundational to meaningful therapeutic work.

My path to becoming a psychologist was inspired by a deep commitment to helping others feel seen, heard, and understood. After completing my undergraduate studies in Psychology at the University of Montreal, I pursued a Master of Counselling Psychology degree at the University of Calgary. Balancing studies, family life, and clinical work deepened my appreciation for the human capacity to adapt and grow, even through life’s most difficult seasons.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of supporting immigrants, refugees, individuals with developmental disabilities, and people navigating a wide range of emotional, relational, and mental health concerns. These experiences have taught me that healing is not a one-size-fits-all process—it is unique, personal, and deeply human.

Outside of my practice, I am a parent, music-lover, and lifelong learner. I find joy in the simple moments—family time, movement, and creativity—all of which ground and nourish the care I bring to my work.

My Approach

I take a holistic approach to therapy, considering the biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors that shape your well-being. I draw from evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative, and Solution-Focused Therapy; I often incorporate art and creative tools to support expression and insight.

My work is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in social justice. Whether through single-session or longer-term therapy, we will work together to explore your strengths and challenges and support your growth in a way that feels authentic and meaningful to you.
